UNICEF CAMPAIGN “SUPPORT FOR THE CHILDREN OF PAKISTAN”

ANEM supported UNICEF and Telenor company campaign for obtaining donations for the children of Pakistan.

This year, unfortunately, the world is faced with another disaster of enormous proportions. Pakistan's floods have overcome disasters that were caused by tsunami in 2004 and the earthquake in Haiti.

About 17 million people were directly affected by the floods. Tens of millions of people were left homeless, and there is a fear of outbreak of epidemics. Due to lack of water and sanitation services, children, especially those under five are particularly at risks from diseases such as diarrhea and cholera. Food, clean water, medical equipment and medicines are urgently needed.

On that occasion, UNICEF in Serbia and Telenor have launched the campaign to raise funds to help the children of Pakistan by sending text messages.

ANEM has supported this campaign in two ways: by free broadcasting, for two weeks, of the video spot with the appeal for help for children of Pakistan on ANEM regional and local TV stations and by making this spot available on ANEM website.

In the period between September 13 and 27, the spot was broadcast on 12 ANEM TV stations: TV OK from Kovacica, TV Caribrod from Dimitrovgrad, TV Prima from Bajina Basta, TV Alfa from Uzice, TV Jedinstvo from Novi Pazar, TV Trstenik from Trstenik, TV Pozega from Pozega, Nezavisna TV 017 from Vranje, Novosadska TV from Novi Sad, TV Spektar from Sombor, TV Leskovac from Leskovac and Timocka TV from Zajecar.
