TV Program „Law on Associations – a new era of civil society“

ANEM, in cooperation with the Civic Initiatives NGO, provided the possibility to its TV stations to broadcast TV Program „Law on Associations - a new era of civil society" for free.

This TV Program of Civic Initiatives, produced by the „Mreza" Production Group, consists of two 25-minute long shows, dealing with the new Law on Associations, whose implementation started on October 22, 2009 and which is intended for non-governmental organisations in Serbia and their membership, as well as the general public.

The programs treat the position of civil society in light of the new legislation, the possibilities of cooperation between state institutions with non-governmental organisations, the importance of these organisations in everyday life of citizens, as well as their contribution to the European integration of Serbia.

What this Law means for the civil sector in the broader context was elaborated on the Sixth Assembly of the FENS by: Bozidar Djelic, Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration; Milan Markovic, Minister of the Public Administration and Local Self-Government; Dimitrios Kypreos, Head of the OSCE Mission to Serbia; William Infante, in front of the UN and its development program in Serbia and Adrian Martins, Deputy Head of Delegation of the EC. In addition, authoris of the said Law, experts of the non-profit law and representatives of the Business Registers Agency, which is responsible for the registration and change of registration of associations, elaborated on the specific amendments to this Law and the obligations of organisations of civil society in its implementation. Representatives of NGOs shared their expectations in light of the new legislation, and announced the openning of the Government Office for Cooperation with civil society.

TV programs „Law on Associations - a new era of civil society" are broadcast on 21 ANEM TV stations: RTV OK, from Kovacica, RTV Zajecar from Zajecar, RTV Kursumlija from Kursumlija, RTV VK from Kikinda, TV Jedinstvo from Novi Pazar, TV Pirot from Pirot, TV Apolo from Novi Sad, RTV Trstenik from Trstenik, RTV Nisava from Nis, RTV Caribrod from Caribrod, RTV Mag from Obrenovac, TV Niska from Nis,  TV Pozega from Pozega, RTV B92 Info from Belgrade, RTV Prima from Bajina Basta, RTV Sokobanja from Sokobanja, TV Leskovac from Leskovac, RTV Spektar from Sombor, TV Alfa from Uzice, TV Pancevo from Pancevo, RTV Mlava from Petrovac on Mlava.
