ASSOCITION PROTESTS

BELGRADE, May 21, 2002 - The Independent Association of Serbian Journalists has protested over the large number of legal proceedings recently launched against journalists in southern Serbia. The Association alleges the proceedings have been launched by prominent supporters of the Milosevic regime in an attempt to prevent journalists from doing their job.
