DISMISSED MANAGERS TARGET CORRESPONDENTS

VRANJE, May 20, 2002 - Correspondents for Belgrade media from Vranje and Bujanovac are to appear in the Vranje District Court in four separate proceedings during May, the Human Rights Commission in the town has announced. The Commission claims that pressure on Belgrade media correspondents has been stepped up through threats and law suits, mainly from the dismissed managers of local companies Simpo, Jumko and Vrelo and former Vranje police chief Stojan Stojmenovic.
