DELIBERATE MEDIA MANIPULATION

BELGRADE, May 20, 2002 - "The fact that the laws which should regulate the media field still haven't been adopted tells us that either the authorities have abandoned the media or that they like the inherited system," media analyst Snjezana Milivojevic told daily Blic. Milivojevic said that media scandals such as that involving Blic News would occur repeatedly until legislation is adopted. She added that she doubted the case would be adequately resolved in court because the previous information act had been repealed and no new one passed.
