Investigative program postponed for security reasons

9.3.2015. (B92) - BELGRADE -- B92 TV had decided to postpone until further notice the broadcasting of a new episode of the Reporter investigative journalism series.

The decision was made in agreement with Brankica Stankovic, editor of the Insajder team.

The decision cam despite the fact the first episode of the series dealing with football clubs achieved good ratings and caused numerous reactions.

In a statement, B92 said that the media outlet attaches utmost importance to the safety of its reporters, and the postponement of the program the only rational solution in a bid to protect them.

Stankovic has been assigned police protection several years ago, a situation that was questioned and ridiculed in the wake of the airing of Reporter's first episode - which additionally jeopardize her safety and that of her team.

B92 TV "realized that our society is not yet mature enough to accept in the right way the opening of many topics that the Insajder teams has been dealing with for many years," a statement said.

Acknowledging that the decision would cause different interpretations, B92 is stressing that Insajder remains a part of the broadcaster and would, as before, have the full support of its editorial staff.
