RUSSIAN TV CHANNEL BANNED IN MOLDOVA

4.7.2014. (Tanjug) - Moldovan coordination council for television and radio banned Russia 24 TV news channel in Moldova until January 1, 2015, the channel stated.


According to the television channel, Moldovan authorities in today's meeting stated disrespect of principles of the Moldovan law on broadcasting TV and radio program as the reason for the decision.

The Russian radio-television issued no statements about this, reports ITAR-TASS.

Channel Russia 24 broadcast its program in Moldova only via cable networks.

The first country to ban the russian TV channel was Ukraine in April 2014.
