Campaign for media literacy

In august 2013, Media coalition started a 15 months project titled Campaign for Media Literacy aimed at strengthening and support of democratization of the Serbian society through the promotion of media literacy and independent and accountable journalism. The project is led by the Independent Journalists' Association of Serbia that conducts this project in partnership with other associations from the Media Coalition, with the financial support from the U.S. Agency for International Development.

Key project activities are: research on media literacy, multi-media campaign, opening of online resource center, series of workshops intended to different target groups: students, professors and journalists, development of Ethical code of online journalism and twelve round tables.

The Media Coalition is an informal partnership of five media organizations - the Independent Journalists' Association of Serbia, Journalists' Association of Serbia, Independent Journalists' Association of Vojvodina, Local Press, and the Association of Independent Electronic Media.
