PRESS RELEASE: "Why People Whisper in Church"

The government and other institutions must recognise that journalists have the right to work freely, independently and professionally regardless of the type of media they work for -private or public. We protest against all kinds of pressures on media and would like to stress that role of media is not to report favourably about political and religious issues. It is unacceptable to put media under political or any other influence. SEENAPB would like to stress that journalists and media outlets must have the right to report independently. Authorities must be the ones advocating and promoting the principles of freedom of expression ANEM has performed all its activities within the SEENAPB projects according to the highest professional standards ever since the establishment of the Network in 2000. Goran Gavrilov, President of SEENAPB
