ANEM Calls on RATEL, SOKOJ, OFPS and PI to Waive Fees for Broadcast Media in Flooded Areas

Belgrade, 22 May 2014 - ANEM addressed today a letter to the Republic Agency for Electronic Communications (RATEL) and to collective organizations for the protection of copyright and related rights calling on them to waive fees for broadcast media in flooded areas for a duration of one year.
ANEM addressed such a call having in mind that these radio and TV stations are operating in very difficult circumstances and that many of them are almost incessantly reporting on the conditions in flooded areas, as well as that the Republic Broadcasting Agency (RBA) has already asked the Government to approve waiving of broadcasting fees for 85 radio and TV stations for a duration of one year, and that RBA itself called on RATEL and collective organizations to act in a similar manner.
ANEM President, Milorad Tadic
