THE NEW EPISODES OF THE TV SERIES “RECOGNIZE EUROPE” ON ANEM WEB PORTAL “BETTER SERBIA”

After posting November and December episodes of the TV series "Recognize Europe" on ANEM web portal "Bolja Srbija" (Better Serbia), now you can watch there as well selected episodes of the said TV series aired during January and February 2011! This web portal will also be the place where you will be able to see the most interesting episodes broadcast during March 2011 on ANEM regional and local TV stations across Serbia.

The most interesting January episodes that we have selected for you are:

  1. Spare ticket for the performance of youth with disabilities in mental development from Novi Sad
  2. Roma from Zvezdara begin working at the new recycling center in this Belgrade municipality
  3. How does the service "food on wheels" provide for the senior citizens of Sombor to get home-cooked meal every day?
  4. How Business Incubator in Zajecar helps entrepreneurs to start and develop businesses and survive on the market?

We have also selected for you the following stories that were aired in February 2011:

  1. Thanks to the "virtual bank" made available for the students of the Belgrade First BusinessHigh School, they are now entirely prepared for the real jobs in banks.
  2. How has the NGO "GM Optimist" from Gornji Milanovac organized the collection and recycling of electronic waste?
  3. Multilingualism and multiculturalism in the program of RTV Pannon from Subotica
  4. How has the local self-government in Obrenovac stimulated the use of recycling energy resources?

Visitors of the web portal "Bolja Srbija" ("Better Serbia") also have the opportunity to participate in the monthly polls for choosing the best story of a month. Surveys showed that among the stories aired in November, two have been selected as the best: "Geronto-housewives in Pozarevac" and "Getting a job by being pregnant", with an equal number of votes. The first story shows how the service for assistance in homes from Pozarevac has helped 99-year old granny Olga, while the second tells the story about how the city of Nis has found a model to simultaneously encourage women's employment and fertility. In December, visitors of the portal liked the episode "Park in Kragujevac" the most, a story on how have the citizens of Kragujevac, with small assets, but a lot of good will and effort, turned a neglected city area into a beautiful park. The story "The performances of young people with difficulties in mental development" was voted for the best story in January 2011 and this story shows how, thanks to this performance, the media are more frequently talking about people with disabilities, which contributes to their better socialization and inclusion.

See why these stories have been selected as the best!

We also invite you to vote for the best story of February and you can do that until March 31, 2011! Stories from March would be uploaded soon on the web portal and new voting will start.

Also, we are impatiently waiting you to share with us your stories about people, groups and institutions that have contributed to solving a problem or improving the quality of life in their communities, by filling out the form in the section "Pokreni priču" (Start a story) and thus participate in the creation of this site.
