ANEM's CONTRIBUTION TO PUBLIC DEBATE ON DRAFT ADVERTISING LAW

Creating favorable media regulatory framework is one of preconditions for achievement of the needed media reform that ANEM has been advocating for years. Along with new media laws, the Advertising Law (although not a media law per se) is one of key laws of the said regulatory framework since it significantly influences the work and sustainability of media.

ANEM is of opinion that, in order for the media sector to develop further, it is necessary that the new Advertising Law be harmonized with the relevant EU regulation and the new Serbian media legislation, and also to offer an adequate regulatory response to problems identified in practice.

As its contribution to the ongoing debate on the Draft Advertising Law and to the quality of the Law, ANEM submitted to the responsible ministry its written comments and recommendations for improving the Draft Law.

ANEM's COMMENTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS are available here (in Serbian only).
